Robert Sherman Yehl

Robert (Sherman) Yehl, City Manager

Mr. Yehl is a graduate of the American University (Washington, DC) with a Masters in Public Administration (1978) and Indiana University Bachelor of Arts degree (1976). Previously Mr. Yehl served as General Manager of The Woodlands Community Service Corporation (The Woodlands, Texas); City Manager for the City of West University Place (Texas) and Assistant City Manager for Des Moines (Iowa). He is a member of the International City/County Management Association. He owns two rescued beagles, The Shadow and Margot. Mr. Yehl has been City Manager since October 10, 2005.

Kristi Aday

Kristi Aday, Deputy City Manager

Kristi Aday is a graduate of Texas Tech University, holding a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and a Masters Degree in Public Administration. Prior to her appointment as Deputy City Manager, she was employed by The Woodlands Community Service Corporation in The Woodlands, Texas serving in the positions of Management Analyst, Deputy Fire Chief and most recently as the Director of Community Services. She also served as a Management Assistant in the City Manager's Office of the City of Dallas, Texas. Ms Aday is a member of the International City-County Management Association and volunteers with the American Heart Association.

Bob Tunis

Bob Tunis, Economic Development Director

Mr. Tunis is a graduate of McGill University in Montreal. He has served as an Economic Development executive for the Province of Alberta, Canada; Lincoln County, Montana and the City of North Port, Florida. He is a member if the International Economic Development Council and the Florida Economic Development Council. He has been Economic Development Director since 2006.

To provide the citizens of Sanford with efficient and effective services that meet their needs and to deliver them in a friendly and courteous manner. To manage and direct all activities of City government in a manner consistent with the City Charter, Code of Ordinances, and as directed by the Board of Commissioners.
