William M. Kirby, Director
Mr. Kirby is a graduate of the University of Florida with a B.S. in Municipal Recreation. He is a member of the FRPA,
Seminole County Sheriff’s Advisory Committee, the Sanford Scenic Improvement Board, the Sanford Cemetery Advisory Committee.
He is the Director of the Sanford Museum and serves on the Board of Directors of the Central Florida Sports Commission.
Mr. Kirby has been the Director of Leisure Services since 1990.

To provide the citizens of Sanford with an enhancement of the quality of life in the City through
designing, developing, maintaining, and efficiently operating parks and recreation facilities and
offering a variety of quality recreation programs for the citizens to enjoy during their leisure.
