Any accounts that require same day service will need to be set up at City Hall with the Utility Department at 300 N Park Avenue, Sanford FL 32771.

***HELPFUL HINT***
The 1st of each month tends to be busier than normal, please expect at least a 30 minute wait time when paying your bill or setting up new service in person. You can avoid this wait time by paying your bill one of the following ways:  Online, by phone, setting your account up with E-Pay or make a payment at Amscot or Wal-Mart at any Sanford location.

- Automatically paid from your U.S. bank (14) fourteen days after bill date

Pay Online: 
City of Sanford Utility Dept. Online Bill Pay  (There are no fees associated with this service)

Customers can also pay their utility Bill at any Amscot or Wal-Mart location; you will need a copy of your utility bill, and a payment method of either cash or a pin-base debit card. Wal-Mart charges a Standard payment fee of $1.00 for delivery within 3 business days or $1.50 for next day service delivery. Amscot charges $1.50 convenience fee for next day service delivery. Payments are posted within 1to 5 business days.

Utility Service turn-off:
Accounts billed with past due charges not paid by cut-off date, will automatically have service disconnected.

The City of Sanford takes authorized credit card payments for utility bills via the internet or Click to Gov; telephone and the Customer Service counter. The credit card payment must be initiated by the customer. The City of Sanford will not contact a customer via telephone or the internet to solicit or initiate a utility payment. Please report any unsolicited requests for City of Sanford Utility payment and credit card information to the Sanford Police Department at 407.688.5199 and Utility Customer Service at 407.688.5100 or utilitycustomerservice@sanfordfl.gov
