WHO ARE WE? The Sanford Police Volunteers are a team of highly trained citizens who enhance vital crime preventions services and community awareness through proactive law enforcement principles. Members do not take enforcement action or make arrest. All suspicious activity is reported to the Sanford Police Department. WHY BECOME A SANFORD POLICE VOLUNTEER? THE SANFORD POLICE DEPARMENT VOLUNTEERS WILL RECEIVE TRAINING IN:
	Orientation and Organization Crime Prevention Driver Awareness Traffic Control Radio Communications Basic Report Writing CPR and First Aid Patrol Procedures
All volunteers are required to complete the Citizen Academy. We are now accepting applications for our next Citizen Academy starts Tuesday, January 10, 2012 at 6:30 pm. Classes will be held twice a week every Tuesday and Thursday from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. and some Saturday mornings. Space is limited, apply early! To print out an application and apply now Click Here.
