Economic Development Façade Improvement Project activities on Historic Goldsboro Boulevard


Seminole County is accepting applications on behalf of the City of Sanford for Economic Development Façade Improvement Project activities on Historic Goldsboro Boulevard.  The goal is to provide business owners with financial assistance and technical support that will result in improved access to goods and services in the area, increased revenues and economic development of the area, revitalize and stabilize businesses.

All interested applicants must have a representative participate in a mandatory orientation workshop that will be held on Tuesday, March 19, 2019, at 4:00 p.m. in the City of Sanford Public Safety Complex, Community Room, located at 815 Historic Goldsboro Boulevard, Sanford, FL 32771.

All applications must be received in the County’s Community Services office located in the Reflections Plaza, 534 W. Lake Mary Boulevard, Sanford, FL 32773, no later than 4:00 p.m. on Friday, April 12, 2019.

The County is accepting pre-applications for the Immediate Needs Program for residents of the City of Sanford. This program is funded with Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) funds. It is designed to provide funding in the form of a grant to qualified applicants (income eligibility is included) with necessary immediate repairs and/or alterations to protect the health, safety, and welfare of the household or affect the immediate livability of the home. The five (5) trades in which assistance can be provided are roofing, electrical, plumbing, HVAC (heating and cooling systems), and accessibility (accommodations for those with disabilities).
Pre-applications are available between the hours of 8 a.m. – 4 p.m. at the Seminole County Community Development Office at 534 West Lake Mary Boulevard; Sanford, Florida 32773. Completed pre-applications will be accepted Monday through Friday from 8am to 4pm at the Seminole County Community Services Office. For questions please contact us at (407) 665-2300. The pre-applications will be used to establish a waiting list for the City of Sanford Immediate Needs Program.
