The Chase property was used for farming celery up until a freeze in the 1930’s, During the 1940’s & 1950’s, the New York Giants leased the property and installed several practice fields, which were then used for Spring Training. The Giants relocated to San Francisco in 1959 and the property remained unused until the mid 1960’s, At this time, the Chase family turned the property over to the City of Sanford. In 1976, the site was converted over to a single field, basketball & tennis courts and was officially dedicated in November 1977 as the “Randall Chase Memorial Park”. Throughout the late 1970’s, 1980’s and 1990’s, the park was used primarily as a softball field and for the 13 to 18 year olds youth baseball leagues. In 2000, the park was demolished and the new park was officially re-dedicated in 2001.

Additionally, the fields are set up to handle 12 and under AAU baseball, and Girls softball.

Fields can be rented for practices, games or Tournament play.
